Senior Software Engineer Job Opening in Huntsville, Alabama - Responsibilities:
Devises solutions for solving complex customer problems using company or customer furnished computer systems and equipment or commercial off-the-shelf packages.
Collaborates with technical staff to understand and to develop new solutions or the resolution of software problems.
Diagrams information flow, showing source and distribution of all segments, processing elements, channels, and methods of entering corrections, and data retention requirements.
Uses expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software.
May work in one or several areas, such as equipment or software design, engineering evaluation or test, configuration management procedures, statistical analysis and modeling.
May have significant involvement in the selling process to identify, develop, and support complex product/service solutions requiring a blend of sales and technical expertise.
May perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned systems developers / analyst working on a specific project.
May be assigned responsibility for the management of the systems administration function, including associated staff.
Qualifications:
Fluent with functional, imperative and object-oriented languages; knowledge of Java, Scala, or Clojure, or JavaScript would be especially useful
Either strong OOP or Functional Programing and modeling skills
4+ years professional experience in professional web development
Experience developing software utilizing workflow or ESB software
Security Plus CE Certification
BA/BS degree
6 or more years of experience developing production software using C/C++, C#, Java or JavaScript.
5 years of working with OOP languages and patterns.
5 years? experience with one or more of the following: WPF, Ajax, jQuery, , SOAP, REST, , SQL
BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline, or in place of 4 years of equivalent internship or industry software engineering experience
Minimum experience and education requirements: High School with 14+ years, Bachelor's with 8+ years, or a Master's with 6+ years.
CISSP/CISA/CISM ? Certification
CCNA ? Cisco Certified Network Admin Certification
MC DIACAP/Risk Management Framework ? 3+ yrs
SE ? Microsoft Certified Engineer Certification
CND ? Computer Network Defense ? 3+ yrs
