The Cloud Automation Engineer will focus on designing and implementing technologies and processes for the automation and orchestration of cloud infrastructure to support an MDA Software Defined Data Center.

This individual will assist our enterprise in the adoption and maturation of cloud technologies. Duties include analyzing requirements, designing and developing software supporting API implementations and/or interfaces between cloud components and business automation applications.
Accomplish cloud based software applications configurations and extend application functionality through formal code development.
Integrate Government Off-The-Shelf and Commercial Off-The-Shelf products into the MDA Cloud infrastructure.
Designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure environment for supporting development, staging, and production applications.
Writing scripts to automate the provisioning and maintenance of systems in a distributed, cloud infrastructure.
Defining, creating, and maintaining processes required to support production and development environments through the use of automation scripts, third party tools, utilities, or custom code. Defining and maintaining infrastructure product and component standards for automation and orchestration capabilities to deliver a flexible, scalable, secure, reliable, resilient, and cost effective set of cloud services.
Qualifications:
Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and 15 years of experience in relative fields(must have a STEM (Science Technical Engineering Mathematics) degree to apply
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, service engineering or cloud service operations
Hands-on technical experience creating process automation scripts using PowerShell, JavaScript, REST
Experienced DevOps practitioner with hands on experience delivering continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
Current CompTIA Security+ CE or ISC2 CISSP
Must have a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Master's degree and 10 years of experience
Experience with VMware vRealize Automation, VMware vRealize Orchestrator, VMware vCenter, and VMware vRealize Operations
Experience developing software in a DoD environment
VMware Certified Associate - Cloud (VCA6-CMA or VCA-Cloud)
ITIL v3 Foundations certification
