Linen Production Worker Job Opening in Alexandria, Louisiana - Southern Textile Services is a full-service linen provider that provides hygienically-clean healthcare linens to hospitals and surgical centers throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.
Full-time position. Shift begins at 6 a.m. and ends when work for the day is finished. Building is NOT climate controlled. 7 Day week production ? days off vary.
Loads, handles, sorts and prepares soiled linen for transfer to washroom
Manually loads soiled linen into washers/machinery
Feeds and operates garment press machinery
Manually sorts and folds
Packs linens according to customer specifications
Retrieves bundled linens and loads them onto carts
Manually loads carts onto truck for delivery
Minimum Qualifications: MUST be able to meet production standards and able to understand and follow instructions. Reading and writing comprehension, math skills and high attention to detail.
Physical: Standing on hard surface, walking, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and lifting 50 lbs or more. Ability to move carts of varying weights.
