JOB DUTIES:
Summary
Under the direction of the Purchasing Manager, the MRP Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining purchase orders that will deliver and maintain adequate levels of inventory to support production schedules and other necessary inventory levels for the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Develops and maintains production schedule
Collaborates with Customer Service team and Production team to meet customer?s expectations
Creates and maintains work orders for production
Replenish and procure materials for production
Maintain/update setup of new and/or existing items in MRP
Manages bills of materials (BOMs) and routings
Contact vendors to find out status of orders and/or discuss discrepancies with quantity and quality
Review min/max inventory levels
Monitor shelf life and meet customer compliance requirements
Develops metrics with departments (i.e. aged and excess inventory, days of supply, run rate, etc.)
Perform accounting research and validate PO costs and contracts to ensure correct billing (as required)
Utilize E21 to make decisions on business needs
Contact suppliers for COA?s (Certificates of Analysis)
Work closely with Quality Assurance to make sure department is compliant for internal and external audits
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Proficient in Microsoft office and advanced in Excel
Associate Degree; or equivalent from a two-year or technical school; or six months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
