Business Development Associate Job Opening in frederick, Maryland - Business Development Associate I. SCOPE: Capricorn Pharma Inc. a specialty pharmaceutical drug delivery company, engaged in the innovation, development, commercialization and manufacture of various innovative products in the areas of pharmaceutical- Rx & OTC medications. The state of the art manufacturing and development facility is located at Frederick, MD USA. II. ABOUT THE JOB: This role is accountable for the business development activities, including securing, retaining, and profitably growing Capricorn clients to support strategic business objectives. III. JOB PURPOSE: The primary purpose of the BD&L (Business Development & Licensing) associate, is identification, servicing the partner companies, suppliers, and out licensing technologically advanced products to create a portfolio of new product and business opportunities designed to deliver superior long-term performance in sales growth, market share and new products evaluation in all markets IV. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Effectively utilize the sales strategy and ensure the company meets revenue and profit objectives through targeted prospecting of small, mid-size and large accounts. 2. As assigned, make cold calls, develop rapport and build customer base 3. Gather market intelligence on companies, leads and prospects 3. Develop and deliver presentation, samples and Brochures for the various business units of the company 4. Co-ordinate with various departments in the organization for development and manufacture of the product. 5. Research and develop packaging options. V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 1. 2 years of experience in Business Development in the Healthcare Industry Preferred 2. 4-year BA/BS degree preferred 3. Proven self starter with energy and motivation to find develop and close deals 4. Advanced computer skills to include MS Office/MS Project 5. Knowledge of developing and sustaining a customer base 5. Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel. 6. Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills 7. Requires a valid driver?s license.
