Billing & Collections Specialist Job Opening in South Portland, Maine - Description
The Billing & Collections Specialist will support the Finance team in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance department.
The team member is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer billing problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency, working in conjunction with the Senior Finance Manager to bill all clients and provide back up support to the Payroll Department.
Software Knowledge
Advanced knowledge of MS office, specifically excel
Experience with Microsoft Business Solutions - Solomon or Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus
Responsibilities
Review open accounts for collection efforts.
Resolves client-billing problems and resolves accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner.
Work in conjunction with the Senior Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly invoices.
Ability to manage and respond promptly to the needs of the clients.
Tracking, analysis and preparation of contracting for client renewals.
Back up for the payroll department.
Assist the Finance team with day to day, monthly and year-end operations of the department.
Special Projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor?s Degree in Business or Accounting
2-4 years of progressive accounting experience
Advanced knowledge of MS office, specifically Excel.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to complete work accurately with a high level of detail
Able to maintain work priorities in an environment with multiple concurrent tasks and projects and maintain flexibility related to assigned tasks
