Distributor Sales Representative Job Opening in Seaford, Delaware - *Position Summary*
Holt is seeking a Distributor Sales Representative for the Delmar to Dover, DE territory; including but not limited to Laurel, Seaford, Bridgeville, and Harrington. This is an outside sales position. The individual will be responsible for generating new business and achieving sales goals established by Holt.
*Responsibilities*
Job duties include but are not limited to:
* Create a customer base by selling products needed by customers in regards to their specific needs
* Knowledge of the company ? what we do, what we sell, etc.
* Achieve profitable sales growth by opening new accounts and performing the daily routines to do so.
* Call upon new customers and provide a timely follow up on all leads
* Follow all company procedures; i.e. getting customer orders in on time, reporting to sales manager, responsible for AR, etc.
* Working non- traditional hours to successfully meet customer needs
*Skills and Knowledge*
An applicable sales representative should posses the following:
* Have an understanding of market conditions, trends, prices, and competitor products to provide value added benefits to your customers.
* Experience in sales for restaurants, hotels, B&I accounts or working in the food service industry.
* A successful candidate must be personable and have strength in written and oral communications.
* A strong work ethic is needed in providing customers with great services
* Extensive knowledge of the desired territory would be beneficial.
*Job Requirements*
* Possess a college degree or have sufficient experience in the Foodservice Industry
* Must have a valid driver?s license and dependable transportation
* Basic laptop skills and the ability to work in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Office are a must
* Need to be able to travel every day. Either locally to accounts in you territory, or to Salisbury, MD for sales meetings and necessary training.
