Education: ? Bachelor Degree in MIS, Computer Science or Engineering Desired Candidate Profile: ? Ascendant Technology is looking for people who are passionate about developing web based J2EE applications, be able to speak confidently about all relevant technologies and techniques such as, Eclipse IDE, Struts, JSP, JSTL, etc. ? Previous job experience in the Computer Science field is desirable. ? You will be highly analytical, have strong numerical, interpersonal and communication skills, be target-oriented and ready to work in a fast-moving and fast-growing environment. ? High proficiency of written and spoken English is required. ? This position initially will be in Austin, TX. ? You must be willing to reside in Austin, TX for the first six (6) months of employment. Job Requirements: ? 1 years of J2EE Development with MVC Framework (Struts) and Springs framework ? 1 years of experience with one of the following: JBoss, Apache, WebSphere Application Server or Tomcat. ? 1 years of back-end Development with MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Hibernate, EJB MAIN TASKS ? Design, develop, test, implement, document and support J2EE n-tier and other mission critical business applications ? Gather business and operational data requirements for proposed applications ? Create functional specifications and recommend industry best practices for system solutions ? Design scalable and highly available solutions for large databases with heavy transaction volume ? Create detailed technical design specifications from business requirements ? Design (UML preferred) and develop process flows, program specifications and data definitions ? Development of application programs, prepare test data and conduct tests to verify program reliability and data integrity ? Prepare user and system documentation for operational and technical support ? Investigate data transfer technologies including Java messaging ? Automate and maintain data exchange processes and interfaces with internal and external systems ? Must be able to work independently and in a team environment ? Fundamental understanding of IP and networks ?
