Job Purpose The District Marketing Manager is responsible for generating excitement, brand awareness, increasing product loyalty & sales, and overall event execution of business objectives within their assigned territory. In this key leadership role, the District Marketing Manager supports client programs by managing the event execution teams dedicated to field marketing, in-store programs, and promotions. The position is responsible for driving event execution results through hands-on management of teams, objectives, training and through close coordination with peer management and support teams. Job Responsibilities Oversee field marketing, in-store programs, and promotional events executed at Strategic Locations within the Market, Thursday through Sunday over the course of 12 weeks beginning in June 2011. Event times may vary. Support a team of Brand Ambassadors in Event Execution including: Engage the consumer by creating brand awareness and enthusiasm Dynamically and aggressively promote product to consumers Distribute promotional materials and collateral to consumers Drive traffic to product locations to encourage purchase Set up and breakdown of event Program management of all designated part time specialists in your assigned district Effectively planning, managing, and executing all client programs in your respective district Effective hiring, schedule management, training, personnel development and program oversight of all programs in your respective district Working closely with the Account Team to develop strategies for retention, hiring and maximizing performance within your assigned district Regular reporting against client mandated objectives Key Deliverables and Responsibilities Results Management: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with client partners Analyze data and develop appropriate plans in order to drive traffic to and product purchase in retail locations Delivery of product training content, in settings from 1:1 to large group presentations Special projects, as assigned by senior management Team Management: Regularly conduct training sessions with event team to discuss strategies for ongoing promotions Communicate with event team within assigned District to address event , determine appropriate mode of communicate depending on nature of issue Ensure event team's accurate and timely collection of data per client request Drive part-time representative execution of all client-mandated metrics Training of event team in areas of customer relationship building, product knowledge, and promotional skills Job Requirements Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Bachelor�s degree or equivalent work experience preferred Degree in Marketing and/or Public Relations highly desired MBA a plus Experience: 3 to 5 years of experiential marketing and QSR (quick service restaurant) experience with hiring, managing part-time employees, product sampling & distribution, results reporting, inventory, and training experience (P&L responsibility and/or multi unit experience a plus) Strong computer skills for managing schedules and reporting results via on-line systems Ability to drive measurable, sustainable results Strong training and performance management skills Flexibility to work weekends on rotating schedule and to visit and work directly with team members and client partners to ensure success of all in-store activities and promotions Effective, proven leadership skills and the ability to build morale and motivate an event based team of part-time employees to achieve program goals and objectives Proficient computer knowledge Have a proven track record in with an emphasis on building long term client relationships Have a strong work ethic, a disciplined and motivated team player who can work well without direct supervision Experience in promoting products and the retail services arena preferred Reliable transportation, computer and internet access Required Skills: Must be able to effectively handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Self starter with above average planning and organizational skills Creative team player with strong interpersonal skills Other Requirements Must perform the job safely and utilize proper safety techniques and use of equipment when appropriate.
