Semi-Senior Accountant Job Opening in Newburgh, New york - Well established, successful radiology practice in Rockland and Orange Counties seeking a semi-senior accountant to supervise, track, and evaluate its day-to-day financial activities. Primary responsibilities include preparing journal entries, completing general ledger operations, performing monthly closings and preparing monthly financial statements. Candidate will also oversee accounts payable, payroll administration, bank reconciliations, preparing the 401K audit process and assisting with implementation and maintenance of internal controls and procedures while working closely with outside CPA firm. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and hold a bachelor's degree, possess knowledge of accounting principles and practices and have 3-5 years of experience in general accounting. Healthcare business experience a plus. Core competencies must include attention to detail, excellent communication and problem solving skills. Proficient in Excel and Quick Books.
