Pricing Analyst Job Opening in Charleston, South carolina - Job Summary:
This position works under the direction of the Knowledge Management Director. The primary responsibility is to gather pricing and promotion information from suppliers and submit that information to all of our accounts. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining and distributing price lists and promotion letters to our sales force and customers. This individual must be able to stay organized and possess the ability to analyze and make first hand suggestions concerning pricing and profitability for all products that Southern Eagle Distributing carries.
Analysis of profitability of new and existing items for both Southern Eagle Distributing as well as our
customers
Gather promotional pricing from our suppliers through online systems and relationships with suppliers
Maintain frontline and promotional pricing information in IBM AS/400 format computer
Maintain frontline and promotional pricing information in Excel format for use by sales force
Submit monthly pricing to key accounts and chain accounts
Submit new item information in a timely manner to chain accounts
Conduct weekly market ride to gather retail pricing information for chain accounts
Resolve chain pricing issues using relationships with chain account contacts
Track weekly ad activity in Excel format for use by Key Accounts, Inventory Manager, and sales force
Track weekly ad execution in Excel format for use by Key Accounts and Management
Back-up phone duty for front desk ? relief for breaks, lunch, vacation/sick days
Attend company quarterly sales meetings

Must possess basic and some advanced computer skills. This person should be comfortable with Excel, MSWord, Outlook, PowerPoint, or some other type of presentation format to complete business reviews for customers.
Possess basic math skills and be able to explain percentages, margins and other information that is important to the account.
Possess good communication skills both verbally and written.
Possess good reasoning and problem solving abilities.
Good organizational skills are a must. Organization will be the key to this position.*
