Medical Office Manager Job Opening in Huntsville, Alabama - Summary:
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a multi clinical medical practice. Ensures office is running smoothly by supervising office staff. Hires, trains and counsels employees. Requires knowledge and experience in all facets of medical office management including, payroll management, A/P, provider insurance credentialing, MACRA and MIPS, Revenue cycle, Billing(ICD-10) and personnel management. Ability to effectively interact with physicians, patients and other staff members. Previous management experience required. Competitive Salary commensurate with experience. NON SMOKER PREFERRED
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: ( includes but not limited to)
1. Supervises staff and oversees daily office operations .
a. Establishes staff schedules, allocation of staff, and assures effective patient care.
b. Trains and rotates office staff through various office duties to ensure cross coverage in all job areas.
c. Assesses staff performance. Completes a 30, 60, 90 day review on all new hires and annual review on established employees.
d. Conducts regular office staff meetings.
f. Credential providers with hospital and insurance companies. Knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance .
g. Has working knowledge of MACRA and MIPS guidelines
i. Accurately reviews and processes daily deposits.
j. Verifies all time sheets and ensures payroll is submitted to accountant weekly.
K. Actively involved in improving processes to ensure efficient office operations
2. Performs Environment of Care functions.
a. Oversees and maintains a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors.
b. Assures that all emergency equipment, such as fire extinguishers and emergency lights are properly maintained.
c. Completes work/repair orders in a timely manner.
e. Performs quarterly safety/emergency drills.
f. Completes and submits quarterly safety drill reports.
g. Coordinates and prepares office and staff for potential weather related disasters.
4. Works with Practice Administrator to develop, implement, and monitor effective Programs .
Education/Training Level
Bachelor's Degree(Preferred) or 3 years Office Management experience in lieu of degree.
ICD-10 and CPT coding knowledge preferred
