Java Developer Job Opening in Memphis, Tennessee - Software engineer competent to work at the highest technical level, including computer support, database programming, and web programming. Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications, and maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from programs. Will perform duties related to researching and creating reports from the core system and ancillary systems. Will work closely with computer operations and systems analyst to provide timely information for producing reports for use throughout the credit union, will work closely with network administrators to produce customized web pages for various sites throughout the credit union. The position will also work with all areas of the IT department to ensure daily operations and help desk responses are provided on a daily basis.
Ensure the maintenance and appropriate modification of existing operating systems to maximum efficiency.
Coordinate technical support in the effective use of software to software developers.
Lead software developers who design, debug, document and install operating systems, compilers, monitors and other systems software.
Interact extensively with IT systems analysts to determine internal customer needs by enhancing applications.
Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems, and devises computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data.
Encode, test, debug and install the operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer operations and user departments.
Prepare charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submit recommendations for solutions.
Lead testing of solutions for technical and business compatibility.
Coordinate development of reports and ensure their accuracy and meet the needs of the business unit.
Assist in translating requirements of the internal customer into highly technical specifications in brief.
Document technical specifications.
Instruct system users in the use of computer applications; answer questions and assist in resolving problems regarding the methods and procedures for using software applications.
