Administrative Assistant for Institutional Development Job Opening in Skokie, Illinois - Qualifications :
Bachelor?s degree or above preferably in or related field.
2 years of relevant experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Superior interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Hours : 36.5 hours/week
Responsibilities include providing support to the Development Department and the Vice President for Administration & Finance :
Development Department
Assist with planning for fundraising events
Assist with all aspects of fundraising activities (e.g. Holiday appeal letters, endowments, planned giving, bequests, etc.)
Coordinate with Marketing Director to produce print/digital materials, flyers, etc. for events
Communicate with supporters and stakeholders (phone calls, emails, Constant Contact, etc.) and enhance relationships with them
Generate and send bills and receipts
Track pledges received and follow up with donors to ensure collection of pledges
Manage and update donor database
Manage Yartzeit and Kaddish programs
Assist Communications Director in managing HTC?s social media presence
Prepare donor reports as needed for staff and lay leaders
Assist with alumni special occasion letters and alumni projects and fundraising activities
Provide support to lay leadership?s development efforts
Assist Director of Development on Federation activities
Assist and support the CEO with his fundraising activities
Vice President for Administration & Finance :
Become knowledgeable with Banner Accounting Software
Assisting Department Heads in entering invoices
Assisting Account payable clerk
Preparing and maintaining departmental budgets and reports
Entering requisitions and purchase orders
Assist in audits and program reviews
Assist in the budget process for HTC and the Federation
Assist the Bookkeeping and Bursar office with various financial needs
Must be computer literate and be proficient in:
Microsoft Office
Accounting software
Facebook and other Social Media
Constant Contact email marketing
Salary : Commensurate with experience
