Accounts Payable Specialist Job Opening in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania - Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
Maintains relationships with purchasing and receiving departments.
Charges expenses to accounts by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks.
Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos, purchase order changes.
Vendor payments processing in Syteline (ERP system). Prints and obtains signature on all account payable checks.
Communicates and investigates on vendor issues and resolves in a timely manner.
Distributes signed checks as required.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Maintains records by scanning vendor invoices in the ERP system and filing documents.
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Completes other tasks as required.
Accounts Payable Representative Skills and Qualifications:
Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Team work, Analyzing Information, Working Knowledge of Accounting, Vendor Relationships, Data Entry Skills, General Math Skills.
Education: Associates Degree (preferred) with Accounting major
Experience: 1-3 years in the Accounting/Business field
