To that end we need a top quality Controller to join our high-energy enterprise. This is a full-time position with benefits. The salary will be competitive.

The successful candidate for this high profile position should have an increasingly responsible progression of work/school experience. However, we are not looking for the perfect resume; we are looking for the chance to give someone a chance to really succeed. And, as this is a fluid and agile enterprise, a high tolerance for ambiguity is a must.
Objective
This is an immediate opening and the person will be expected to hit the ground running and to be very hands-on.
Manage finance planning and accounting department providing information, about all company activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the company's future.
Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
Prepare division and consolidated financial statements.
Assist leadership in a variety of financial analytics. Have a high-level ability to analyze data and to interpret the results for the senior leadership team
Perform/review monthly/quarterly account reconciliations (balance sheet, various P/L accounts).
Complete monthly close procedures.
Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the CEO and Directors.
Oversee preparation and processing of bi-weekly, multistate payroll for employees.
Supervise accounting staff [2].
Assist with A/P and A/R.
Oversee outside tax preparation and independent review.
Essential Function

Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements and annual audits and budgets.
Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, etc.; funding service management, which includes weekly funding reports and customer service; quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports.
Assure corporate income tax compliance to assure the accurate and timely completion of all corporate income tax returns taking full advantage of all favorable tax codes.
Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company's value.
Respond to CEO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate his financial needs.
Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, salaried position. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position normally requires no travel. However, that may change as we add more locations.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Five years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
MBA.
CPA
Experience using Intacct.
Experience in a professional services company
