Senior Accountant Job Opening in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania - Large manufacturing company is seeking a full-time Senior Account to join their team. They will be responsible for several accounting department functions, such as Month-end Close Process, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll Processing. This position works closely with the Accountant, Controller, and CFO.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
-Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly/yearly closing.
-Creates department P&L statements
-Assists Outsourcing department with crucial accounting adjustments.
-Oversees quarterly physical inventory.
-Files monthly sales and use tax across multiple states.
-Responsible for management of customer A/R insurance coverage.
-Manages accounts receivable and accounts payable.
-Conducts general ledger account reconciliations and analyses.
-Handles ad hoc requests for financial information.
-Submits payroll data.
-Supports auditors' efforts to complete year-end review.
-Other duties as assigned.
Abilities:
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications inclusive of complex excel spreadsheets.
-Excels working in a fast paced - hands on environment
-Ability to produce consistently accurate and complete work product.
Education and/or Experience:
-Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
-Minimum of three years accounting experience
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
-Ability to sit for long periods of time.
-Ability to move about the facility.
-The majority of functions are carried out in a climate-controlled office setting.
