Accounting & Reporting - Global Headquarters
This is an exciting opportunity to join Kennametal's accounting and finance team. The Senior Accountant will be provided generous opportunities to continuously develop his or her career within the organization.
Responsibilities:
Understand and complete complex accounting transactions
Support the global and/or regional consolidation and internal reporting for the company
Support the production and review of financial statements and analyses, following both US and regional GAAP, as appropriate
Execute complex tasks and projects as assigned, taking them from start to completion with minimal oversight
Perform analyses and develop recommendations in support of achieving business objectives
Oversee work of others, including global colleagues and external vendor partners
Manage and/or assist with internal and external audit requests
Skills/Requirements
A Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
Master?s degree or CPA a plus
At least 5 years of relevant work experience
High proficiency in Excel
Ability to problem-solve with minimal oversight when issues arise
Ability to effectively and efficiently work with closing deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate to, and collaborate with, a broad range of audiences, across various departments
Must be self-motivated individual, looking to continue to advance his/her career by taking on increasing responsibilities and potentially other roles within the company
