Midway Rental is Montana?s leading provider of rental equipment. We offer a diverse line of products for commercial, industrial, and residential construction, as well as for power generation. Established in 1978, Midway continues to grow. We are part of the REIC family of companies. REIC does business as Midway Rental in Montana, ProRental in Idaho and Oregon, and Hillside Rental in Colorado and Wyoming. We are currently seeking candidates for an Outside Sales position in our Kalispell/Whitefish territory.
The Outside Sales Representative reports to the Kalispell and Whitefish Store Managers and is responsible for growing relationships with new and existing customers within an assigned geographic territory. He/she must develop and organize strategies for achieving goals and exceeding quota in rentals and sales of equipment. The Outside Salesman must efficiently manage his/her territory daily and grow revenue by visiting customers on jobsites and offices. Contact with customers will also be made via phone and email. The Outside Salesman must stay keenly aware of market conditions, including the fleet mix and pricing of local competitors.
Our ideal candidate will be intuitive and able to identify customers? needs. The rental industry is a face-paced environment, and the Outside Salesman must display a sense of urgency. He/she must have the ability to think creatively so as to provide smart solutions to customers. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in the rental industry. Candidates with related experience will also be considered. The Outside Salesman must visit prospects on jobsites and in offices, identify customers? needs, assess their interests, and explain the products and options available. This person must be self-motivated, highly organized, and have an exceptional work ethic.

Job Requirements:
Previous rental experience is strongly preferred.
Prior inside or outside sales experience is required.
Must be people-oriented, aggressive, sales driven, and a team player.
Must be exceptionally self-disciplined and self-motivated.
Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
Maintain a professional business appearance at all times.
Must be able to build prospects and business relationships.
Cold-calling and jobsite calls are required.
Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite, CRM systems, & the ability to learn rental software.
Previous experience of preparing professional sales presentations and quotes for customers.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A bachelor?s degree is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver?s license and have a driving record in good standing
Desired qualifications:
A Bachelor?s degree or rental industry experience is a plus.
2 years of business to business experience in Heavy Equipment and / or Construction sales is preferred.
