Finance Business Analyst Job Opening in Nampa, Idaho - Position Description Summary
The main tasks of the Business Analyst level I is centered on product costing, understanding item construction, and understanding Manufacturing Accounting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Day to Day Activities
Oversees product costing including maintaining bills of material, routings, and work centers.
Reconciles material postings to work orders.
Reviews cost center reports on a bi-weekly/monthly basis for accuracy.
Analyzes actual to standard variances and reports differences to management with recommendation for standard changes and/or cost saving process changes.
Prepares and uploads changes associated with quarterly and yearly standard revision process.
Performs bi-weekly/monthly internal control audits to ensure that purchase order processing and inventory adjustments are processed according to company policy.
Compiles reports as requested by Plant Manager and/or Finance.
Coordinates/assists with monthly inventory cycle counts; participates in annual ?full-yard? inventory.
Assists Plant Manager, operational staff, and Finance staff as needed
Assists with (off-site) location audits (including Fixed Assets).
Reporting and Analysis
Work Order Analysis
Understand Manufacturing Accounting, including the transactional data related to inventory movements
Compiles reports as requested by Plant Manager and/or Finance.
Transactions
Ability to work in JDE transactionally for cost simulations, inquiry, and data mining.
Education and work experience required:
BA/BS Degree in Business or Finance required
2 to 5 years of experience, beginner is accepted based on the education profile.
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
JD Edwards One World recommended
Must be fluent in English; Spanish or French is a plus
Psychological Demands
Very high level of activity closing each month, and more specifically for the closing of September, December, March and June.
