Established locally-owned New Orleans sign manufacturing company is seeking to fill a Sales & Installation Rep position.
Overall Job Description:
Sell to and service customers. Administer and complete on-site installations.
Essential functions of the job include (but are not limited to):
Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the sign industry.
Initiate and follow-up with customers and vendors to sell products.
Resolve customer problems, answer questions, generate correspondence and reports.
Proactively prospect, qualify, and generate sales with both new and established customers.
Contact current customers and leads provided to you to identify possible sales opportunities.
Prepare and present proposals and quotes, and recommend products based on customer needs.
Inform customers of product details, unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, company information and any additional information needed by customer.
Identify revenue opportunities within customers' communities through communications and other activities as needed.
Calculate fees, pricing, discounts, and other invoicing related functions.
Create and maintain customer files and plans for follow-up action.
Go outside of the office on installation jobs and to check on customers.
Courteously greet counter customers and process incoming orders by mail, telephone, fax, email or personally from customer, and route to production as appropriate with all necessary instructions and details.
Track and manage projects from start to finish.
Enter transactions in Quickbooks.
Design and create simple artwork and proofs.
Assist with certain aspects of sign production as needed.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include (but are not limited to):
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to listen to and understand client needs and to respond effectively
Must be in excellent physical health
Must be very computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft programs
Must provide a valid driver?s license and current, valid auto insurance
Must have a clean driving record, pass a drug test, and pass basic math and spelling tests
Ability to multitask, problem solve autonomously, and handle stressful and changing situations
Must be organized and maintain accurate records of installations and customer interactions
Ability to accurately use and read instruments such as rulers, tape measures and levels
Must know how to accurately and safely use a variety of hand tools
Ability to calculate and convert distance measurements such as length, width, height, area, diameter, radius, etc...
Must have good vision,spatial perception, and hand-eye coordination
Ability to read drawings and blueprints
Ability to work at heights and on step ladders
Must maintain a clean and professional demeanor and appearance at all times
Ability to work well with others and in a team environment
Must have a strong work ethic, maintain a positive attitude, be dependable, and take pride in work product
