Daily Responsibilities:
Perform specialized and technical accounting functions with minimal supervision.
Provide assistance to Affiliate & Financial Reporting Manager. Position may require working at alternate campus.
Prepare financial statements and reports relating to financial performance.
Prepare financial statements and reports relating to financial performance.
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
Review accounting transactions for proper classification in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
Function as a resource person to provide assistance to other accountants and managers both within and outside the Finance Department.
Record bank deposits and processes transfers between bank accounts, when need.
Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts and ensures timely resolution of outstanding issues.
Requirements:
B.S Degree in Accounting or in Business - Major in Accounting
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting
Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all colleagues
Must possess analytical and problem solving skills
Must be able to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department?s needs
Flexible hours during month end close and special projects
Good written and oral communication skills
Must have excellent computer skills in a wide array of software applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Quick Books
