CareMore?s Primary Care division oversees strategy, operations, and care delivery in our high-risk primary care business (Des Moines, IA and Memphis, TN), where CareMore builds and runs capitated primary care medical groups and currently serves over 50,000 high-risk Medicaid patients in two states.

The Staff VP, Primary Care Operations will serve as strategic operations lead for CareMore?s Primary Care markets.
The Staff VP, Primary Care Operations will be directly responsible for division and market clinical operational excellence and execution of new paradigms in our primary care model, such mobile and community-based care initiatives.
The Staff VP, Primary Care Operations will report to the Chief Medical Officer for Primary Care & Collaboration and partner closely with market General Managers, Regional Medical Officers, and CareMore leadership across divisions (e.g. finance, analytics) to drive impact.

Work location and travel expectations: New York, New York preferred.
Position requires travel to support Memphis, TN, Des Moines, IA, Los Angeles, CA and new expansion markets as implemented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sets the vision for best-in-class clinical operations in primary care across markets and drives operational excellence to achieve it; LEAN or Six Sigma training preferred
Strengthens and defines the core operational model that is scalable across markets, with insight around which factors vary significantly by markets
Directly supports market clinical and operational leaders in defining, implementing, and monitoring key performance metrics that constitute impact and success
Drives health plan partner collaboration across core operational areas (network, case management, utilization management) with market General Managers
Support all operational activities and resource efficiency within the local markets
Working closely with regional and local market clinical leaders to exceed clinical outcomes goals that live up to CareMore standards
Analyzing financial and operational data to uncover performance issues and leading the execution of improvement opportunities
Analyzing department budget requests and supporting management of both division and local operating budgets
Minimum and/or experience:
bachelor?s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university; master?s degree (MBA or MHA) preferred; over ten years of related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, licenses, registrations: none required.
Other qualifications: at least ten years of experience in the field; demonstration of expertise in a variety of the field?s concepts, practices, and procedures.
