Bookkeeper Job Opening in Peoria, Illinois - A growing accounting, payroll, and tax firm has an immediate opening for a seasoned Bookkeeper/ Payroll This firm has been owner operated for the last five years, but is looking to expand its services, its people, and its clientele.
Ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years experience performing bookkeeping functions such as data entry, calculating and entering payroll, entering/paying vendor bills, entering client payments and making deposits, printing checks and reconciling client bank and credit card statements.
Ideal candidate should also have experience in preparing quarterly and annual payroll returns and sales tax returns.
Minimum of 3 years QuickBooks experience required. Knowledge of other accounting packages is a plus. Must also have experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Candidate must be organized, detail oriented, and capable of working without supervision.
Candidate will have some interaction with clients, so they must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Part Time or Full Time position depending on circumstances. Salary negotiable.
Bonus opportunities are available. Owner is flexible with schedule.
