Job Title: Rehabilitation Liaison, Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties, MD
General Position Summary:
The Rehabilitation Liaison is not a sales position, but it does require the candidate will maintain, develop and strengthen relationships within an already existing client base of medical adult day cares, assisted livings, senior centers, physicians? offices and physical rehabilitation centers.
As Liaison, the candidate will report to and assist the Marketing Director in implementing internal and external communications strategies, manage marketing and public relations efforts for all of Baltimore Orthopedics & Rehabilitation USA?s entities, plans and direct advertising programs in Maryland and District of Columbia.
The candidate will be responsible for generating referrals for out-patient rehabilitation by building relationships with physicians, long term care, independent and assisted living facilities and other community resources. Responsibilities include market analysis, developing marketing strategy, goals and plans, and evaluating results and effectiveness of marketing activities within an already existing framework of referral sources as noted above. The candidate will also be asked to participate in the garnering of social media and general ?interest? online.
This position requires an individual who is highly motivated, results driven, and able to develop and build strong, lasting relationships. Excellent planning, organization and presentation skills are critical. Recent healthcare marketing or sales experience is required. The ideal candidate will have established healthcare contacts and be able to readily network in the community.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
Generate referrals from facilities where BOR already has a contracted relationship
Implements ?Wellness Screens? or ?Wellness Fairs?, and clinical programs targeted at various patient populations
Acts as a key (but not exclusive) source of ?market intelligence? monitoring
. * Establishes measurable goals within all marketing plan efforts and tracks the results of marketing efforts within the bounds of reasonable industry standards.
Monitors the ?brand image? of BOR USA, and the impact of competitive activities, organizational activities, media coverage and market forces on the market position of the organization..
Performs other related work as directed by immediate supervisor.
Job Scope:
This position involves the following key aspects
: * Frequent new and varied issues and work situations
. * A significant level of complexity in terms of the number of projects and issues in hand at any given time.
An anticipation that the work will periodically (but regularly) occur outside of normal ?9 to 5? business hours
. * An anticipation that the work will require local travel within the BOR USA service area on a regular basis
. * A good degree of both internal and service area visibility to all key audiences. In many cases, the Liaison will be acting as a public representative of the organization and needs to recognize the opportunities and consequences of such a position
. * A significant level of determination of own practices and procedures. Performance under independently minimal supervision and a pro-active, ?self-starter? approach. This position reports to the Marketing Director and the Board of Directors, and will be part of the BOR USA management team but day to day supervision of tactical issues will be minimal.
Specific Job Skills & Mental Activities:
This position requires operational knowledge of.
Minimum of 1 years of experience in organizational communications, public relations, marketing or business development or (preferred) in a health care provider setting
. * Notable experience reporting to and working with executive leadership of a health care provider organization, and working with a wide range of key audiences including physicians, Board members, clinical personnel, department managers, civic/community leaders, etc in an enthusiastic manner that generates good will.
Solid experience with community-oriented activities including civic organization
Strong and supportive team player
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and to respond to unexpected organizational issues
. * Strong written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
Strong creative skills including the development of creative-related strategies and the implementation of those strategies..
Computer Literacy:
Minimum ? Familiarity with business related software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Familiarity with common web-based programs and applications (Google, major Social Media outlets, etc.).
Ideal ? Familiarity with marketing and data-specific applications including graphics software.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in marketing, public relations, business administration,Communications, health care administration or a related field (required).
Preferred ? Master?s degree in one of the fields noted above.

Productivity: 40 points/month
Bonus Structure:
400 points/yr ? $2,000
500 points/yr - $4,000
550 points/yr ? $5,500
Calculated quarterly, after the first 90 days of employment.
Point structure:
- 0.5 points for new referrals generated by you from existing referral sources
- 1.0 points from new referral sources
- 3.0 for new Providence adult day care referral
