POSITION : Junior Software Engineer
LOCATION : Annapolis Junction, MD
JOB STATUS : Full-Time
CLEARANCE : TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (Required)
CITIZENSHIP: U. S. (Required)
EXPERIENCE LEVEL : A Software engineer shall have at least two (2) years of professional work experience in Software engineering. He/she shall have at least two years of professional work experience in JAVA programming experience. The software engineer shall be cleared TS/SCI level with a full scope poly.
EDUCATION : A Bachelor?s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline is required. Other experience developing in a similar Software Development process can be used as experience as well.
DESCRIPTION : The Software Engineer would be able to:
Design and develop new code.
Maintain and improve existing software.
Integrate older software to cloud-based solutions.
Work with the customer to define, document, and implement system requirements.
Develop solutions in an Agile Development environment.
Create and execute unit and integration tests.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE : The ideal software engineer will have experience with:
JAVA
Cloud based services
IDE?s (Eclipse, IntelliJ, Netbeans, etc.)
Git
Agile Software Practices
REST Services
Parsing Frameworks
LINUX Operating System
Hadoop Map/Reduce
