POSITION SUMMARY
This position will be within a small OB/GYN department and is responsible for EPIC clinical workflow development, EPIC clinical front-end recommendations, EPIC reports, and EPIC support.
The individual will anticipate clinical flow and business needs and function with a strong fundamental knowledge of the EMR system and the organizational infrastructure to recommend solutions that enable the enterprise to achieve its goals.
The individual will support and collaborate with internal (UHP) clinical faculty, clinical leadership, UHP technology staff, billing/coding/rev cycle staff, and administrative support staff as well as a wide variety of external (HPH EPIC) support staff, and other external contacts (including software vendors and industry peers).

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Perform in-depth analysis of EPIC workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with EPIC software
Investigate end users' preferences and analyze business operations while making template build decisions
Manage, be the Point of Contact for department level EPIC change requests required to go to HPH via UHP
Run and develop data reports as needed
Work with faculty to determine potential EPIC system enhancement needs and educate faculty on best practices for use of EPIC
Review and understand data generated/consumed by EPIC and related application systems ; manage this data to meet the department?s business needs
Develop and document project team procedures for implementing system changes and other tasks
Participate in training and troubleshooting EPIC and related application system problems for end users
Distribute and ensure accuracy of monthly open encounter reports
Responsible for monthly compilation of all faculty clinical coverage counts
Comfortable accepting responsibility for leading small to medium scale projects
Ability to clearly communicate technical and/or complex concepts or topics to a lay person.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Data Reporting and Analysis
Responsible for all data extraction, compiling, analysis, and reporting of information related to the Department's clinical and revenue cycle activities.
Researches and prepares reports in response to inquiries and requests from faculty, divisions, programs, and department senior leadership
Works with the Associate Chair of Clinical Affairs, department Billing Office Manager and Faculty Practices Director to prepare and analyze faculty practice fee-for-service revenue reports/coding trends for the Department.
Quality Payment Program
Responsible for planning, managing and coordinating for applicable Quality Payment Program initiatives throughout the department.
Performs as the subject matter expert and serves as the central point of contact and coordination of Quality Payment Program participation and activities in the department.
Track and analyze Quality Payment Program metrics and measures and identify process and/or performance gaps.
Provided key updates on Quality Payment Program to leadership including status reporting, changes in rules and regulations and tactical plan progress.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Training
Minimum:
Associate?s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field.
Preferred:
Experience/Training with EPIC
Experience
Minimum:
Healthcare Information Technology, Business, or related field strongly preferred
Experience with performing mathematical computations and computing ratios and percentages.
Preferred:
Experience working with physicians and other medical staff.
Experience working within a medical office practice or Hospital informatics team
