Job Brief:
The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for generating leads, developing sales strategies and managing a pipeline of prospects in their designated territory. The successful salesperson will enjoy uncapped commissions and play an integral role in driving revenue by hunting for new opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers and closing sales to achieve quotas. Your efforts will be backed by the best Operations team in the freight industry.
Job Description & Responsibilities
Generate outside leads and prospect new business (business to business sales)
Tele-qualify
Field qualifying
Referrals
Research databases, internet, etc.
Effectively grow and manage customer pipeline
Develop call plan to track and develop sales activities and maximize time
Analyze customer needs
Build and maintain a long sales cycle
Sell to various levels of decision makers
Account and Customer Maintenance
Ongoing communication to service your established customer base
Visits, phone calls, emails, mail, etc.
Entertaining
Expand business with current customers
Develop upward relationships within customers? organizations
Candidate Characteristics & Qualifications
Proven Sales Experience
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a field-based role
Ambitious, hardworking and energetic
Positive, goal/sales-oriented personality
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Exceptional active listening and skills
Demonstrated ability to form relationships with and influence decision makers
Able to multi-task and prioritize time and work load in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor?s or Equivalent Experience Preferred
