Accountant Job Opening in Tampa, Florida - About The Company:
Summerfield Master Community Association is a 3,700 unit HOA in southeast Hillsborough county. The association is self-managed and seeks a skilled and dedicated accountant to handle the accounting needs of the association.
About The Position:
We are looking to hire an individual who will be dedicated to the association, make efficient use of time, is organized, is able to multi-task, able to set priorities, and pays attention to details. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
- Complete month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing.
- Reviews monthly management financial reporting package and supporting schedules.
- Ensure the monthly bank reconciliations are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support budget and forecasting activities.
- Oversee all functions of Billing, Accounts Payable, and Collections.
- Coordinates annual audits and tax returns preparation.
- Handles all accounts payable and accounts receivable issues.
- Support with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Experience:
- 5+ years as an Accountant or Full Charge Bookkeeper, with at least 3+ years HOA related.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).
- Applicant should be skilled with full cycle accounting and/or full charge bookkeeping. This includes bank reconciliations, cutting vendor payments, recording deposits, and year-end closings.
- Be organized, attention to detail, work independently, and complete the work the first time.
- Have the ability to adapt to change and a willingness to learn new things.
