Staff Accountant Job Opening in Clearwater, Florida - Local company is currently seeking an Staff Accountant to add to our dynamic team. This individual MUST possess a strong attention to detail, organizational skills, high ethical standards and professionalism. The candidate must also be comfortable multi-tasking and/or moving back and forth from one task to another as needed. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE :
Creating invoices from proposals/work orders and researching discrepancies
Posting customer payments and generating cash deposits
Processing invoice adjustments
Fielding customer calls and researching customer inquiries
Distributing customer statements and assisting with collections
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE :
Creating and revising purchase orders as required
Reconciling purchase orders to vendor invoices and researching discrepancies
Posting vendor invoices
Generating bi-weekly vendor check runs
PAYROLL
Responsible for generating weekly payroll
Fielding inquiries from employees regarding pay and or deductions
Preparing monthly worker?s compensation self-audits
GENERAL :
Reconciling accounts and assisting with month-end including financial statement preparation
Scanning and indexing to maintain paperless environment
Additional administrative duties as required
Minimum JOB REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of two years of experience in with AR/AP & Payroll
College degree in Accounting / Finance preferred
Reconciliation and General Ledger experience
Able to work in fast-paced, high volume environment
Strong computer and analytical skills
Must be organized and be able to multi task
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
