Inside Sales Representative- Metals Distribution Job Opening in Irving, Texas - Alumet Supply is an industry leader in the aluminum sheet and coil distribution business. With multiple service centers located around the country, we service all areas of the US, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. We are currently seeking a qualified Inside Sales Representative to join our Irving, TX sales team.
Responsibilities include the following:
Assisting customers daily on both a contractual and transactional basis.
Preparing quotes for customers, ensuring correct gross margin is provided
Responding to status inquiries from customers
Process all orders as received promptly, ensuring accuracy
Identify, record, and recommend solutions for any problems relating to the product and/or quality
Interacting with operations personnel to assist in meeting customer requirements.
Daily communication and sales support for outside sales reps
The qualified candidate will have:
A minimum of three (3) years of customer service or sales experience
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to solve problems and resolve conflict
Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Excel
Detail-oriented and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills; must have the ability to quickly adapt to different personalities
Strong knowledge of wholesale/retail sales principles, methods, and practices
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Prior sales experience/ knowledge of the Aluminum industry is a plus
