Title: Outside Sales Representative
Reports to: Sales Manager
Position Summary
Prospects and generates sales revenue by adding new residential sales programs and selling value added services to new and existing customers. Position requires transitioning to other departments based on business needs and may answer inquiries, resolve problems, produce and sell products or services
Primary Responsibilities
Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based upon information from Virginia Green, direct mail/advertising, community activities, landscapers and other sources
Follow up on the estimates both current and from previous years
Up sell new and existing customers value added services
Identify self-generated lead opportunities
Achieve Weekly/Monthly sales goals while maintaining pre-determined close percent?s and cancel rates
Work with other departments in building a strong sales culture
Adhere to Virginia Green Sales process
Sell quality accounts with proper expectations for a long term relationship

Job Requirements
Prior inside sales experience preferred, but will train the right individual
Self-disciplined with ability to work independently
Strong closing techniques with customer-centered approach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer skills required
Available M/F 8am to 7pm, plus Saturday during peak times
Drive for results as demonstrated by a record of consistent sales goal achievement
Ability or aptitude for originating, negotiating, and securing new business
Plan effectively while being flexible to change
2+ years in Sales and/or landscaping industry
Excellent computer skills in MS Office application
Working knowledge of Agronomics and Horticulture
Ability to drive up to 80% of the work week
Ability to stoop and navigate different landscapes (hilly, rocky, muddy, etc.)
Must maintain a valid, unrestricted Virginia Driver?s license and an excellent driving record
Physical requirements and other Skill:
Excellent computer skills in MS Office application
