Factory Lab Supervisor Job Opening in Nampa, Idaho - The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC is seeking a Factory Lab Supervisor in Nampa, ID. This position will directly supervise the factory laboratory at the Nampa, ID facility. Primary job functions will include process material and performance reporting, budget preparation and management, crew selection and training, chemical preparation, instrument maintenance and calibration, and process improvement investigation and testing.

Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure that all team members follow the safety protocols and policies, as directed by the Safety Department.
Ensure that all team members have the tools necessary to work effectively and efficiently.
Manage a team consisting of up to 35 hourly employees, working 24/7 on rotating 12 hour shifts.
Assist the Operating Department in solving or investigating process and/or product quality problems, as related to laboratory analysis.
Assist in the training and development of both technical and non-technical staff as related to factory operations and process analytics.
Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree is required in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in laboratory operations.
3-5 years of personnel and/or project experience.
Demonstrated exceptional troubleshooting abilities.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to communicate both orally as well as in writing.
Significant knowledge of standard quality and safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret safety information & placards.
