Human Resources Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator Job Opening in Cheyenne, Wyoming - Position Summary:
The Human Resource Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with HealthWorks management. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, HR policy implementation, , and employment law compliance.
The Human Resource Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services, which includes processing and monitoring accounts payable and payroll. Provides these services in an effective and efficient manner to ensure fiscal documentation is accurate and up-to-date, staff is paid in a timely and appropriate manner, and vendors/suppliers are paid within established time limits.
Responsibilities:
The Human Resource Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator administers various human resource plans for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation personnel policies and procedures; help and maintains employee handbook and policies manual.
Participates in developing human resources goals, objectives and systems in response to the strategic plan.
Performs benefits administration including change reporting, communicating benefit information to employees, and assisting with benefit related issues.
Administers new-hire processes including job description updates, ad placement, applications review and coordination with hiring manager, interview scheduling and participation, communication with candidates and newly hired individuals regarding onboarding. Provides payroll and new-hire documentation to bookkeeper for processing.
Maintains up-to-date personnel records and compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
The Human Resource Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator participates as a resource to staff for employee relations, grievances, harassment allegations and other issues.
Serves as the point of contact for issues regarding workers compensation, unemployment compensation and OSHA incident reporting.
Manage and maintain employee training records.
Perform day-to-day processing of accounts payable transactions.
Receive and verify invoices and requisition orders for goods and services.
Verify transactions comply with Fiscal Internal Controls policies and procedures.
Prepare batch invoices for data entry and print accounts payable checks bi-monthly.
Process and print accounts payable reports.
Prepare check requisition forms for signature and vendor checks for mailing.
The Human Resource Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator serves as a liaison with vendors and contractors for payment arrangement and accuracy of bills received.
Complete payroll functions to ensure staff are paid accurately and timely.
Batch employee timesheets and check for accuracy.
Enter employee status and rate change forms to include employee salaries and benefits for new hires and current employees.
Verify and track pay amounts, hours of work, payroll deductions, paid time off, and payroll liabilities.
Reconcile general ledger, payroll and accounts payable accounts.
Post daily accounts receivable into accounting software and subsidiary ledgers.
Assist Chief Financial Officer with month end process.
Document payroll and accounts receivable procedures.
Prepare and submit payroll tax liabilities, quarterly reports and forms electronically and/or manually.
Reconcile bank accounts with statements.
Maintain filing system for all financial documents.
Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial files.
Occasional travel may be required of the Human Resource Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator for training or conference attendance.
Position requirements:
Education : Minimum Bachelor?s degree in business, human resources, accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the Human Resource Payroll and Accounts Payable Coordinator position :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently to achieve a defined goal
Ability to respond to changes in priorities
Accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
Thorough understanding of payroll functions and procedures
A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
Working knowledge of computerized accounting and payroll systems
Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft office suite
Experience : Minimum of two years? experience in payroll, accounts payable, and human resource duties required.
