Software Developer - LDAP/Active Directory knowledge a plus Job Opening in Morristown, New jersey - As a member of the Information Security Team, the position will work with IAM team members to build Identity integrations with business applications. The candidate will engineer and develop solutions that will enable growth of the Identity Suite and provide support for its various integrations. S/he will provide ongoing development, problem resolution and break fix support for the IAM solution, and its current & future application integrations.
Responsibilities
The Software Developer will lead design efforts for the IAM program that will integrate the Identity Management solution with business applications. This may involve custom development including but not limited to coding and/or scripting to build integrations with third party or other business applications, creating custom reports using various programming techniques, and enabling automation.
Design activities may involve researching, evaluating, and modifying the configuration options of the IAM in adherence to business requirements. S/he will provide periodic status updates to project leaders and managers, build and maintain documentation of all design tasks, develop new solutions and engineer enhancements to the IAM and its existing integrations. Development includes unit testing and may involve custom configuration that involves working with other IT teams to coordinate integration efforts between key business systems.
Additionally, the Developer will provide periodic updates to project leaders and managers on status of activities, ensure the quality of developed and delivered solutions, execute functional and user testing, ensure proper change control procedures are followed, evaluate system integration impacts beyond the scope of IAM systems to target integration systems and participate in the planning, creating and coordinating of test plan efforts. The role will proactively look for tools and methods to improve the operation of the IAM function, work closely with IAM team members and third party integrators on how best to engineer new solutions, provide recommendations to enhance existing solutions and develop new integrations and work with other areas of IT to ensure operational readiness of systems.
Lastly, the position will provide application and end user support, address and resolve software problems, bugs and defects that require design or code changes, work with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, handle regular tasks including resolving trouble tickets, addressing end user requests/inquiries, log analysis, system performance and IAM reporting. The Developer will become familiar with Information Security and Identity Management concepts and standards that drive the business, while taking advantage of opportunities to develop new skills.
Qualifications
Experience in deploying or developing enterprise software, scripting, macro/query writing, software and technical problem analysis.
Advanced level database programming experience with SQL/Transact-SQL in a relational database environment, including building queries, creating stored procedures, building and deploying SSIS packages, designing and working with tables, views & functions.
Prior experience with JavaScript, VBScript, PowerShell, , ASP, HTML
Ability to learn and apply new skills quickly
Understanding of LDAP, Active Directory as it relates to integrating applications with Directory services. Oracle & IBM LDAP directories experience is a plus.
Ability to conduct research and provide technical recommendations for further enhancing the IAM toolset
