Staff Accountant Job Opening in Lombard, Illinois - Our public accounting firm, Forum Tax and Accounting Services, is looking to add a Staff Accountant to our team. We are a small CPA firm located in Lombard and we service clients in a wide range of industries and entity types.
We are looking for someone who is well-organized, detail-oriented, and efficient with accounting and tax software. You would be working directly with clients on several different tax and accounting matters and you would be coordinating your efforts with our partners.
Here is a list of some of the duties you would be performing:
Preparation of individual and business tax returns
Preparation of trust tax returns
Month end closing and financial reporting
Multi-state preparation of sales and use tax returns
Multi-state preparation of payroll taxes
Payroll processing for clients
Research of federal and state tax laws and codes
Correspondence with the IRS and state agencies
Preparation of reviewed or compiled financial statements
Requirements:
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public accounting. CPA or actively obtaining a CPA is preferred. This is a full-time position, and would involve compensated overtime during February - April 15.
Candidates should be proficient with Quickbooks and Excel and have experience with a tax preparation software. Candidates should also be technologically efficient due to most of work being performed and stored on cloud based systems.
