Corporate Bookkeeper/Accounts Receivable Job Opening in Mobile, Alabama - We are currently seeking a Corporate Bookkeeper/Accounts Receivable Clerk for the Corporate office. In this position you will work closely with and assists the Accounts Receivable(A/R) Manager in successfully executing the day-to-day function of the A/R office in accordance with Ball HealthCare's established policies and procedures, current federal and state and local standards relating to long-term care operations; to assist in ensuring that proper accounting procedures and the confidentiality thereof are maintained at all times. The Corporate Bookkeeper/Accounts Receivable is responsible for billing functions for all payer sources such as private, Medicare A, Medicare B. Medicaid, Hospice, VA, etc., and for the accuracy of A/R Journal entries to the General Ledger and end of month reports.
Essential Functions :
Prepares and electronically file all Medicare, Medicaid, HMO and Insurance claims
Post remittance advices and cash receipts for all payer types
Verify eligibility and maintain all documentation necessary to support medical claims
Research and make corrections on all billing issues
Communicate on a daily basis with your assigned facilities and answer all billing questions as needed
Analyze the accounts receivable reports and exercise good judgment on working any problem claims
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
