Web Developer Job Opening in Columbia, Missouri - Columbia Insurance Group seeks a Web Developer. The Web Developer will design, develop, and maintain Internet, Intranet, and mobile applications, including software development. Participate in hardware and systems software configurations and maintenance.
Characteristic Duties:
Design, architect, develop, de-bug, test and implement highly complex applications.
Integrate various cross-platform systems, which may be legacy systems or third-party products.
Support other personnel, including business users and IT personnel, in resolving programming problems, which may be complex.
Manage projects and planning of application development; create project plans to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Analyze, review, document, and recommend modification of programs to increase operating efficiencies, enhance user experience, and adapt to new requirements.
Develop, maintain, and execute site analysis and reporting processes which may include security and detection software items, taking appropriate actions where necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor?s Degree
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· 3 years? experience with Java and Java EE
· HTML/CSS/Javascript
· Experience with an IDE such as RAD or Eclipse
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with a web framework such as JSF or Struts
· SQL
· jQuery
· Websphere
