CPA - Staff Accountant Job Opening in Los Angeles, California - $80,000 - $90,000 a year
Chase Partners is a boutique Real Estate Development Company in downtown Los Angeles. We own and develop a small range of commercial projects around southern California. We have been outsourcing all of our accounting to date but are producing our highest volumes ever and need to bring our accounting in house. Our current projects include several office and industrial developments and remodels.
Description
Financial planning and forecasting. Cash flow is extremely critical.
Prepare development budgets for projects and acquisitions.
Prepare loan packages for submittal to lenders.
Meet with banks to discuss project loan requirements.
AP/AR maintenance.
All banking, deposits, payments, etc.
Account for all transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Maintain general ledger in Excel Workbook
Maintain historical records by filing documents in company software/websites used for company accounting.
Track cost basis for projects in Excel Workbook. Include all applicable expenses, fees, taxes, interest, for each project.
With assistance from Office Manager, maintains account of employee utilization/ cost/ time/ value on projects in effort to maximize productivity.
Handle full books for another subsidiary.
Cash flow projections for each project to be updated monthly.
Complies with ALL federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions utilizing AICPA approved methods.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Microsoft Excel proficiency
Cost Accounting experience with General Contractor or Real Estate firm preferred
Entrepreneurial attitude
DETAILED! Thorough and complete audit-proof records.
3+ years accounting experience (Cost accounting preferred)
