Bookkeeper - Part Time Job Opening in Santa Barbara, California - Statement of Purpose
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the effective management of the organization?s daily financial activities. This position acts as liaison for all reporting agencies.
Major Responsibilities
Bookkeeping, income/expense processing
County and State funding reporting requirements
Grant Financials
Donor base financial management
Oversee the management of financial services in compliance with GAAP accounting principles, funding agreements, and in accordance with the organization?s policies
Oversight of the external annual and independent audit of financial records
Additional tasks as directed
Key Duties
Retrieve payables and mail, ensuring proper distribution procedures are attached
Log remittance for grants/donations in Donor Perfect and Quickbooks
Coordinate with Clinical Director regarding resident fee arrangements
Enter payables in Quickbooks
Process receivables and deposits
Bank deposits
Payables check runs twice per month
Payroll reporting and Quick Book entries
County and client billing and reporting
Prior month?s bank reconciliation and financials (with Accountant)
Donor Perfect reconciliation
Company-wide payment processing
Internal audit with CPA
Essential Prerequisites
Strong bookkeeping skills and proficient knowledge of Quickbooks
3 to 5 years of experience in financial and administrative executive support. Non-Profit experience a plus
Excellent proficiency with MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on graph and spreadsheet creation
All office technology including scanning and telephone systems
