Accounting Analyst Job Opening in North Andover, Massachusetts - We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our growing team. The Accounting Analyst will work under the direction of the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for specific Finance and Business Office tasks primarily related to the General Ledger, the Accounts Receivable/Sales Process, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Budgeting and Key Business metrics.
Responsibilities
Assist with accounting close, including analyses, reports, journal entries and reconciliations, monthly, including the performance of analytics used to ensure financial statement accuracy.
Create and implement project accounting and reporting.
Compile the monthly sales tax report.
Maintain CRM database and produce management reports as required.
Act as billing lead and maintain controls to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
Act as Concur/Trips/Amex administrator back up.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report financial results, in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
Effectively partner and collaborate with cross functional teams.
Compile key performance indicator analyses.
Assist in quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
Assist the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) process.
Assist in developing and implementing best practices policies and procedures and process improvements.
Perform other duties as required, including ad-hoc projects.
Education and Experience
Bachelors of Science in Finance or Accounting and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years business experience.
Skills/Competencies
Exceptional verbal and communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
Experience with automated accounting software packages.
Ability to meet monthly and periodic deadlines.
Problem solving and analytical skills required.
Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
