Position Summary: The Senior Accountant?s primary responsibility is to interact with the Controller managing the daily, monthly and annual accounting processes. The successful candidate will have strong accounting skills in a detail-centric environment. The position is ideally suited for someone who can manage the multiple priorities with the ability to research accounting issues.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage the year-end financial statements audit and numerous internal operational audits.
Perform periodic financial statement risk assessments
Manage and review FDICIA testing and documentation
Preparation of deferred tax calculation and interaction with tax accountants on payments and accruals
Manage the month end close, ensuring integrity of the general ledger
Assist with the yearly budget process, as necessary
Significant other duties and projects, as assigned by Controller
Education:
Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance required.
Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience in a financial institution
Aptitude mastering financial software applications
Analytical and reasoning skills
Familiarity with working with auditors and examiners
