Investor Relations Associate Job Opening in Southfield, Michigan - Bluerock Real Estate, LLC is a national real estate investment, development and asset management company with $4 Billion in AUM providing investments for individual investors.
Bluerock?s continued growth has created the opportunity for an additional Investor Relations (IR) Associate in our Southfield, Michigan office.
Our newest team member will have a minimum of three years investment back office and/or real estate closing experience having worked as an administrator or assistant for a high-volume financial advisor, independent broker-dealer, investment wire house, and/or professional real estate title and escrow company.
The Investor Relations Team is a fast-paced, high-touch group and an integral part of Bluerock. This position provides exposure to senior leadership and participates in many key projects some of which you will drive and own. Our IR Team provides first-class client service through immediate and direct communication with investors, financial advisors, and investment-related professionals. The IR Associate will participate in all aspects of investor relations and capital raising activities and is responsible for communicating directly with Bluerock?s investors, handling requests for information from prospective and existing investors, and processing investor subscription documents. The candidate must possess superior written and verbal communication skills, the ability to respond to requests in a timely manner, and an aptitude for research gathering and analysis. Must be motivated and deadline-driven with extreme attention to detail.
Qualifications:
Associates in business (finance, accounting or related field) preferred or 3 years work experience in related field
Relevant work experience with in-house investor relations or within the investment banking division of a financial institution, real estate title and escrow department, or qualified intermediary a plus
Familiarity with corporate investor relations functions and custodial accounts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and project follow through
Enjoy establishing positive working relationships with co-workers and external audiences
Enjoy performing under pressure, managing multiple tasks, and working under tight deadlines
Enjoy working in a team environment
High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Word and Excel
Responsibilities:
Serve as the main contact between the company and Bluerock retail investors and shareholders, broker-dealers, financial advisors, custodians, and sales teams
Field inbound investor calls and requests for information
Resolve retail issues with Bluerock accounts
Process real estate transactions relating to 1031-exchange transactions by coordinating with qualified intermediaries, escrow, legal, and accounting professionals
Actively participate in the management and maintenance of existing investor relationships
Coordinate with accounting, financial and compliance departments to respond to general investor requests
Support the compiling of key messages to be conveyed to investors and support executive management with their investor communications
Maintain investor contact ("CRM") database
Assist in the preparation of internal and external communication materials (e.g. press releases, quarterly reports, Q&A materials, presentations, etc.)
Collaborate in developing and implementing best practices for the investor relations program, including messaging strategy, investor targeting, and communication practices
Serve as a liaison between Investor Relations and other Bluerock entities
Serve as point of contact and cultivate positive professional relationships with vendors
