Skilled Trades Dispatcher Job Opening in Detroit, Michigan - Responsibilities:
Schedule technicians, jobs, and equipment
Communicate job needs and plans with member of dispatch team
Communicate job needs and status with technicians and update customers
Work with technicians to ensure proper clerical procedures are followed.
Create proposals to send to customers
Ensure proper job coding for vendor invoices
Create time keeping reports for payroll
Prep jobs for billing prior to sending to accounting
Attend various meetings necessary for the position
Perform on-call dispatch duties when assigned
Other duties as assigned or as needed
Requirements:
One year of experience in an office setting with administrative and clerical duties is preferred
A minimum of 5 years dispatching in the building trades field is required
Industry experience with either HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or general building maintenance
Experience in creating job proposals/quotes preferred
Strong office skills, including typing, phone system management, and professional communication
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Effective organizational and time management skills
Clean criminal history
Work Hours:
Monday through Friday day shift
On call rotation after training is complete
