Director of Sales Job Opening in Fremont, California - Atonarp, Inc. is seeking a seasoned, high-energy, and results-driven Director of Sales who is passionate to be part of a startup and capable of developing a sales strategy to expand our partner relationships and meticulously manage the sales process. This executive will have a blend of expertise in business development, sales, strategic thinking and a passion for innovation and new technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of all sales aspects, including market competitiveness analysis, pricing, channel partners relationship, and distribution. In this leadership role, the successful candidate should be highly analytical and can create and lead complex sales partnerships with a strong focus on seeking, cultivating and closing sales opportunities and bringing high value to the organization.
The Director of Sales will report to C-level executives of the company and will work closely with other functions of the company, including marketing & business development, operations and engineering.
Job Decription
Develop sales strategy and process to engage with key partners/ customers
Identify and engage key partners at an executive level
Manage Key Account programs through all phases of the sales cycle including global and local strategies, market gap analysis, planning, implementation and tracking
Lead the identification, development, and closure of new opportunities within the vertical applications market
Manage customer pipeline and an implementation team to achieve pre-established partnership goals
Generate projections of the value created for partners
Identify key assumptions for success to test them
Lead and structure sale proposals to senior executives
Build organizational alignment around long and short-term sales and channel strategies
Evaluate and analyze effectiveness of sales models and programs
Work closely with Marketing and the Product Development teams to assist in the definition of customer needs/expectations and ensure alignment around market and applications requirements and product specifications and features
Understand business trends and technology advancements
Job requirements:
A Bachelor?s or Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or related field is required
15+ years of total work experience in scientific instrumentation sales and Business Development
5+ years as a Business Development Manager or Sales Manager/Director
Experienced negotiator and deal closer
Strategic mindset? proof of leveraging partnerships to support and expand business strategy
Self-motivated, with proven track record of execution as a team member and team leader
Possess excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel more than 50% of the time
