Software Engineer Job Opening in Boulder, Colorado - Candidate must fit into a culture of teamwork, innovation, and questioning assumptions, along with strong structured programming skills and training in software engineering. Specifically C or C++ development, with an ability and desire to develop code from the top-down with solid design and structure. The candidate must be willing to work on existing code as well as develop new code. Prefer candidates with a minimum of 3 years to 5+ years of experience with a BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar degree. Master?s level degree preferred.

Follow the software development standards and processes and work toward continuous improvement in this area.
Be an individual contributor on multiple projects in software design, coding and testing working software modules for embedded devices and user interface applications.
Specific training or experience in a structured programming environment.
Experience communicating with instruments from within your code, via GPIB, USB, Ethernet, etc.
Experience in developing code for instrumentation.
Experience developing embedded real-time software and user?friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications.
Demonstrated experience with C++ and graphical user interface application development. Specific experience with Qt GUI tools is a plus.
Knowledge of Object Oriented design and the development of a robust, extendable software architecture.
Exposure to LabView a plus.
Exposure to SQL, databases, Ruby on Rails framework a plus.
Written and oral communication skills must be strong.
