Payroll and Accounting Technician Job Opening in Pensacola, Florida - Summary/Objective The responsibilities of the Payroll and Accounting Technician includes processing payroll, reconciling bank accounts, and posting the daily activity of all Studer Entertainment and Retail entities and Studer Community Institute.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Manage payroll and time clock within Revel for retail locations and Easy Clocking for baseball entertainment operations including upload of ACH files for employees and select vendors.
Prepare W-2s, and 1095Cs annually for review of Accounting Manager and CFO.
Prepares all payroll related deposits and reports including, but not limited to IRS Forms 940, 941, and State of Florida RT-6 for review of Accounting Manager and CFO.
Bank reconciliation for all entities.
Responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable local, state and federal rules and regulation as it relates to duties and responsibilities; including, but not limited to the remittance of payroll taxes.
File and remit payment on sales tax for all entities.
Reconciling cash and credit payments to subsidiary systems and posting daily activity to financial system.
Invoicing customers, posting payment and communicating balances due to the appropriate parties for all entities.
Support other finance staff during absences.
Performs all other duties as requested or directed to ensure the continued function of the organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understands and has fluent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Experience with Quickbooks preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
Exceptional work ethic, be a fast learner and detail oriented.
Time flexibility to work weekends and nights as requested or demands of the position requires.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Maintain a professional appearance and positive image.
Adherence to the Studer Family of Companies Standards of Behavior.
Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED and two years of directly related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, but hours could vary according to business needs.
