Sr. Accountant Job Opening in Miami, Florida - Accounting Manager/ Jr. Controller
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for day-to-day general accounting and finance reporting activities within the company?s Healthcare operations area. This includes but is not limited to the production of periodic financial reports for the CFO?s review, managing accounting processes and systems, ensuring a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk are in place, enhancing the accuracy of the company?s reported financial results and supporting CFO to ensure that reported results comply with international financial reporting standards.
Areas of responsibility include:
Work closely with the CFO and leadership team; present financial results, forecasts and cash flow analysis to executives and the board of directors.
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate IFRS standards and regulatory requirements for multiple entities.
Maintain internal controls and safeguards for receipt of revenue and costs.
Produce quality financial reports with monthly reconciling & end close
Lead, coordinate and support annual audit activity preparations.
Assist CFO in analyzing financial data and generating presentations in an accurate and timely manner; clearly and proactively communicate status.
Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
Manage accounting/finance staff while leveraging strengths of team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and develop and implement training program to optimize individual performance.
Maintain all AP/Payroll responsibilities
Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly and proactively communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; produce variance analyses all in preparation for drafting financials for release to equity markets.
Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Business, Finance or related discipline; CPA and/or MBA preferred
Minimum 5+ years of experience in an accounting or financial management role, with minimum 2 years in healthcare related industry
Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and payroll
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent tactical and organizational skills
Ability to work closely with senior management team
