Property Accountant Job Opening in Des Plaines, Illinois - Property Accountant needed for a Des Plaines, IL residential property management company. We are seeking someone with experience working in Property Management in a full cycle accounting role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage, reconcile, and analyze cash accounts, tenant deposits, prepaid rent, and other general ledger accounts for multiple properties
Accounts payable entry and payments
Reconciliation of income and balance sheet accounts
Manage depreciation schedules
Assist in preparation of annual budgets
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including variance analysis
Assist as back-up for payroll processing
Experience/Skills:
Associate?s or Bachelor?s degree in accounting or finance
2 + years relevant accounting experience, including understanding of general accounting principles and practices
Highly organized, efficient, and accurate with detailed tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn quickly and independently, and solve problems creatively
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Proficient with Yardi Voyager property management software
Friendly and honest team member
