Accounting Specialist Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Data entry of invoices, expense reports, vouchers for both receivables and payables
Preparation of invoices for entry into scanning system
Assist vendors and company employees with information regarding invoices, payments, expense reports, and other items due
Review of employee expense reports for proper coding and documentation
Review documentation to ensure proper application of policies and procedures
Prepare and process weekly check runs for payment
Perform account analysis and reconciliation for various accounts
Reporting and analysis on transactions from the general ledger system
Other duties/projects as assigned.
The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
Proficient in 10-key
Personable, good communication skills
Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word
Ability to follow directions and work as a team member
Ability to multitask
Detail oriented
Accounting experience required; 3-5 years preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Require an ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.?? Frequent sitting for long intervals.?? Close vision (< 2 feet) required.?? Frequently lifts up to 5 lbs., occasionally lifts up to 25 lbs.?? Walks and climbs stairs on an occasional basis.?? Normal twisting, stretching, lifting associated with a standard office environment.
